Course Overview

This skills course prepares students to become healthcare professionals who help diagnose and prevent disease through clinical laboratory testing. Students will gain expertise in the analysis of body matter such as fluids, tissues and blood. They will also learn to perform microorganism screening, chemical analysis and cell counting. Medical technologists are an integral part of the medical profession, and these professionals play a vital role in the practical and technical work aiding in the correct diagnosis and efficient functioning of biochemistry laboratories in healthcare facilities. Duration - 3 years (6 semesters) with a 6-month internship in the last semester Scope/job opportunity
