The Institute of Health Sciences comes up with socially relevant projects where professional experts can make suitable contribution. Such socially useful activities are done as outreach programs at rural areas and urban slums; health camps at communities and residential apartments; school screening programs, public education and awareness campaigns against serious health issues and different types of Disabilities.
Kshamata Express is a greatly appreciated program which was supported by the SSEPD dept of Govt of Odisha for taking professional experts along with medical equipment to far flung areas, to deliver one stop solution of identification, assessment, certification, referral for financial support, assistive aids and appliances and medical / surgical/ rehabilitation.
The elderly or the senior citizens are provided physiotherapy services with the under Vayo.... Scheme of Govt of India at the institute campus.
The therapeutic services for children with special needs are provided to augment their functional skills and prepare them for mainstream integration with the support of SSEPD dept, Govt of Odisha. The support under corporate social responsibility from SBI Life has made it possible to provide integrated Rehabilitation services to the people affected by musculoskeletal disorders and chronic neurological conditions.
The SAIL under the RSP has supported the conveyance facility for special children who are escorted by the care providers to the therapy centre and dropped at their home, on a daily basis, six days in a week.
